Its leaves are 3 to 5 cm long. Green mint is commonly cultivated all over the world, this plant is the result of conversion and durability of the perennial basil plant. This plant grows in the northern regions of Iran and around Tehran, Darab in Fars, Kashan and, etc. Today, many species of this plant are widely cultivated in the world and the United States is the most important producer of this plant.
Red mint is a type of mint that grows on the edge of rivers and in smooth and shallow waters, and because its leaves are red, it is called by this name.
Different species of mint each have different origins, but this plant usually grows in temperate and tropical regions. Mint can be grown in most places.
But very cold areas are not suitable for growing this plant. Abundant nutrients and sufficient water are essential for its growth.
The plant starts and grows at 2 to 3 degrees Celsius, but the optimum temperature for the growth of mint is 10 degrees Celsius. Propagation is done by dividing the roots, cuttings, stems and boughs.
