It is a well-known fruit; it is eaten raw, although it is mainly used for making wine. Grapes can be eaten fresh as table grapes ,Raw grapes are excellent as table dessert, combined with other fruits in fruit salads. The clusters are dried to make raisins; besides, there are multiple preserves made from grapes, like caramel grapes, grape syrup, grapes in alcohol and grape jelly.they can be used for making jam, grape juice, jelly, grape seed extract, raisins, vinegar, and grape seed oil.
IRAN IS THE LARGEST PRODUCER OF GRAPE VARIETIES IN THE WORLD, Each year a large volume of these grapes imported into the country.The Iranian cultivars included the 5 most important groups of seedless grapes. (Askari, Bidane Qermez, Bidane Sefid, Keshmeshi and. Yaghoti). Grape harvesting areas in Iran are Fars, Qazvin, Khorasan Razavi, Hamadan, West Azerbaijan, East Azerbaijan, Zanjan, North Khorasan, Kurdistan, Central and Semnan provinces.
